SalesNexus Field Types

SalesNexus is a fully customizable CRM, and one of the key pieces of the customization is Data Fields.  To see how to add a new Field to SalesNexus, see this article:  How to Add New Fields

Character Type Field

Character fields are used to hold alphanumeric data, and should be used anywhere you need to type free text values into your CRM.

Numeric Type Field

A Numeric field is used when you need to store both whole, and decimal numbers in your CRM.  This should be used when you are trying to store information that needs fractional accuracy.

Currency Type Field

Currency field is used to store US dollar values in your CRM.

Date Type Field

Date type field allows you to choose a specific date and store it in your CRM.

Phone Type Field

Phone fields allow you to enter and format phone numbers.  This field also allows Click to Call functionality for the number entered.

URL Address Type Field

URL Address is used when you need to place a clickable Web address into the contact record.

Email Address Type Field

Email Address allows you to add an email address to the contact record that will be formatted as a clickable Mailto address.

CheckBox Type Field

A CheckBox field allows you to store "Yes/No" information.

Percentage Field Type

Percentage allows storing numeric data formatted as a percentage.

Time Field Type

Time fields format the numeric data as a time, using a calendar selector.
